
SAT
Taking the SAT is optional, not required; however, many higher education institutions require SAT scores as part of the admissions process. Students may want to check with the college(s) of their choice to determine if taking the SAT is right for them.
The SAT is comprised of three multiple-choice tests that cover reading, writing and language, and math. There is also an optional essay section.

How much does it cost to take the SAT?
If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, even if you do not utilize it, then you are eligible for an SAT fee waiver. Please see Mrs. Parnell for fee waiver paperwork. For all other costs, please click here.
How do I register for the SAT?
All registrations are completed online. Click here to register for the SAT. You will need personal details, payment information (if applicable), a recent photo of the student, and a few codes. You will need the CMHS school code so that a score report will be sent to the school. It is recommended that you list the TOPS Office (LOSFA) as your first choice under "Colleges" so that they receive a score report as well. The codes for online registration are:
